Mazda is continuing to make huge advancements in environmental technologies as it seeks to reduce both its carbon footprint in manufacturing and the environmental impact of its fleet of high quality Mazda vehicles sold in more than 100 countries and dealerships such as EurocarsMazda.
Most recently, Mazda has developed a way of effectively purifying car exhaust gases. It has cut its precious metal usage by 70% in its newly-developed single-nanocatalyst technology in car catalytic converters. The nanocatalyst is featured in the new Mazda 3 model, which will be released in Australia in April.
The single-nanocatalyst technology means the underfloor catalytic converter in the all-new Mazda 3 requires only 0.15g/L of precious metals, approximately 70% less than the 0.55g/L required in the previous Mazda 3 model.
This new technology will be progressively rolled out across all EurocarsMazda models in the future.
